VISION
Strives towards finding a sustainable balance between the needs of local communities, the environment and tourism in north-western Namibia.
ACTIVITIES
- Assist communities to develop sustainable and self sufficient livelihoods;
- create awareness of the sensitivity of indigenous culture and the environment among all stakeholders; and
- operates an environmental education project, with the long term vision to prepare communities for the reintroduction of big game.

ACHIEVEMENTS
- In cooperation with NACOBTA, KHS was instrumental in designing, building and developing the Okarohombo Community campsite in Marienfluss Valley - continues to assist with management and manitenance;
- initiated a basket making project in Marienfluss Valley, involving women of Okapupa community-guided and supported by the Rössing Foundation (Mud Hut Trading); and
- in cooperation with IRDNC, KHS has been instrumental in preparing the Marienfluss community for the establishment of the Marienfluss Conservancy.
