The Namutoni Environmental Education Centre falls under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET).

MISSION
To maintain and rehabilitate essential ecological processes and life support systems, to conserve biodiversity and to ensure the utilisation of natural renewable resources as sustainable for the benefit of all Namibians, both present and future as well as for the international communtiy.

VISION
To see people living in harmony with nature.

AIM
To increase knowledge and awareness of the Mission.

ACTIVITIES

• Conduct environmental education programmes at the centre;
• assist schools in the vacinity with the development of environmental clubs and supporting those in existence; and
• conduct environmental awareness extension in the neighbouring communities.

Primary and secondary schools; student teachers; out-of-school youth; local communities.
