The National Museum of Namibia falls under the Ministry of Basic Education, Sport and Culture.

AIM
To familiarise the Namibian public, school children and foreign visitors with our natural heritage.

ACTIVITIES

  • Guided tours through the museum for learners, looking at Namibia's diverse natural history;
  • free education service at the museum;
  • workshops for teachers and learners to acquire skills on how to make paper cuttings, dolls and recycled paper;
  • excursions during school holidays for learners to learn about the biodiversity of the environment; and
  • celebration of International Museums Day and World Environment Day.
