AIMS
- To promote community-driven self-help schemes aimed at creating income generating activities through using local resources in a sustainable manner;
- to create environmental awareness among communities; and
- to train communities in gardening and crafts production.
ACTIVITIES
- Producing chilli mix; energy saving stoves; wire crafts; paper from mahangu stalks and leaves, all for market sale;
- working together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development - Tree Planting Project for the southern parts of Oshikoto, Oshana and Omusati;
- managing two of the pilot plots with the Ombuga Grassland Project;
- conducting workshops on tree planting and tree management, including tree deliveries to schools; and
- HIV/AIDS awareness in co-operation with Life Line.
