This is a San-led community-based NGO working with San communities throughout the Omaheke Region.
MISSION
To assist the San in Omaheke to build a self-sufficient and self-reliant future for themselves secure in their rights.
AIMS
- To ensure that San traditions and cultures are recognised and preserved;
- to educate the San on their rights, so that the San can gain access to those rights and ensure that these rights are recognised and upheld;
- to ensure that San will have equal access to and support through education at all levels; and
- to ensure that the San are educated on health care and are enabled to gain access to health facilities.
ACTIVITIES
Sustainable Livelihoods:
- agriculture and natural resource projects;
- crafts and small business support;
Education:
- pre-school, primary, secondary and tertiary education support;
Rights:
- educate the San in Omaheke on their rights;
- help solve individual rights cases;
Health:
- training in how to live a healthy life and life-skills training; and
- HIV/AIDS awareness creation.
