MISSION
To conserve the natural environment of Namibia through the promotion and encouragement of environmental education, community awareness, participation and wildlife conservation through appropriate protection, wise and sustainable use of natural resources and the sustainable development of the environment.

AIMS

  • To create general public awareness on environmental issues;
  • to support environmental education on all levels; and
  • to observe and monitor developments ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources.

ACTIVITIES

  • Arranging and advertising public talks on environmental issues;
  • organising outings for members and the general public;
  • compiling, publishing and distributing the Roan News;
  • drafting and distributing the newsletter for members and partners;
  • supporting environmental education;
  • assisting and supporting environmental projects;
  • providing financial support to environmental projects on request; and
  • networking with other non-governmental organisations on related issues.
