Every River Craft Show
The Every River Craft Programme will be having an exhibition at the Windhoek Country Club as from March 2006 to end of June 2006.
The Okavango Craft initiative is one of a number of activities that aim to promote the sustainable co-management of the Okavango River Basin through effective community and key stakeholder participation in basin planning and management processes. The ultimate objective is to improve people's livelihoods, create jobs and reduce poverty, while managing resources in a sustainable way.
The Craft component of the project aims to establish self-managed, viable and sustainable enterprises, with community involvement and empowerment from the outset. It aims to enhance livelihoods and well-being of the Okavango basin craft producers. It also seeks to promote participation in the planning and management of natural resources used in craft.
The National Forest Programme Facility is administered/facilitated by the Namibia Nature Foundation and implemented by the Directorate of Forestry in close collaboration.
