Best Practice Guides
We expect that many of the small-grant projects as well as the development of the new Sperrgebiet National Park under co-management of three ministries and in partnership with civil society will produce many exciting, innovative ideas how to solve conflicts that may arise between conservation and mining, livestock farming, tourism and other activities effecting the environment in the Succulent Karoo. To make sure that these smart ideas around conservation and sustainable development originating from the activities in this programme are not lost, these will be summarised in "Best practice guides" and disseminated to all stakeholders.
One such guide has already been produced: Best practice guidelines for minimising impacts on the flora of the southern Namib.
